Developing a Character 1

If this man was going to be a character in a book, how would you describe him?

To make it an effective description use plenty of strong adjectives to describe how he looks, but also tell us about his feelings, his likes and dislikes, his family, his job or anything else that would turn him into an interesting character and make us want to read about him.

I can't wait to hear your ideas!

  2. I agree that he looks happy, excited and helpful. I'm really impressed that he has won the FA Cup too and I'd be interested to find out which team he played for and all about his footballing adventures. However I'm a bit confused about whether he is childless or not?

Some great ideas and I'd definitely like to read more about him. Keep up the great work!

    1. Sorry when he was a child I meant he was orphaned. He was looked after by a lady called Elizabeth. As a child he loved to play netball. He played in the school team but he got bullied by other players. Because of what happend he decided to try football. He became an amazing player! When grew up he played for a football team called Rotherham Rovers and he scored for his team to win the FA cup.

  3. That makes things much clearer. Sounds like the ideal main character for a football fiction book. What would you call him?

  4. In a story I think he would be the happiest but weirdest person in the STORY!!!
I think his real name is Cory because that is more like a kids name and kids are more happier then adults. His nickname is probably smiley because the picture in my head is him always smiling.

    1. He definitely looks like a happy character, but why do you think he's weird? I love Cory as a first name and 'Smiley' would be great nickname. What job do you think he does?
